Hi, I went to India in 2006 to visit the rural communities that work with SEWA. I met a woman walking 4 hours for water. She said if her community had a sustainable well, she could start a small business. So I printed a holiday card and sent it to friends and family. All together, we raised $5,000 and now that woman runs a small grocery store and 500 people have access to clean water. That was the first Citizen Effect project!
ACHIEVEMENTS
Citizen Effect is all about having a direct impact on the lives of
others so we track the impact you are having. When you reach a
milestone (eg, $1,000 raised; 1 completed project), a badge will
appear on your profile. The more badges, the greater impact you have
had.
