ABOUT ME

I’m a native Washingtonian born to Latin American parents from Puerto Rico and Guatemala. I am a proud mother of three wonderful kids. I’m fortunate to be married 11 years to my Peruvian husband Adan Tafur; as a result, Peru is my adopted country. I have traveled to several countries in Latin America and have been witness of the immense poverty and suffering that children suffer day-to-day in other countries like Peru.

The 2007 earthquake in Peru’s southern region left much of the infrastructure destroyed and to this day, many families still live in shacks, tents and schools have not yet been repaired. Since I know first hand this is a truth, I feel that the only way I can give back is to muster all of my contacts and dedicate some of my own time and give back! I can’t wait for the moment to see this project come to fruition.

I’m calling all my previous contacts in radio, television, non-profits and friends to help me in this fundraising journey for the children of Ica. Join my children Adam, Zachary and Chloe and my husband Adan as we add our little grain of salt the next few months.
