Event: Bay to Breakers
Come and enjoy one of SF's most colorful events, and root me on as I run through a field of elaborate floats, DJ booths, tortilla throwing runners, and the occasional nude runner, to raise funds for a great cause!

DESCRIPTION:
Much more than a footrace, Bay to Breakers is an annual San Francisco tradition that brings together an estimated 70,000 to 80,000 people, and is a big draw for serious runners and serious partiers alike. A large number of the participants walk the route behind the runners, many dressed in colorful costumes, and some not dressed at all. Some of my favorite costumes from last year include; a gang of Bravehearts, donning kilts and plastic swords, a squad of female correction officers, and Captain America - the guy had to have been wearing a good 20 pounds of Styrofoam muscles. You’ll also see the “salmon” participants, who while decked out in full body costumes stagger upstream throughout the race. The race is dotted with local bands and DJs, and there is usually a mini-concert at the end of the race, commonly referred to as “Footstock”, comprised of various musical acts.
This year I’ll be running the 12K race for a great cause: to raise funds for the Health Service Project at the Mehebe Refugee Settlement in Zambia, about which you can find more information on this site. I need your generous support to meet my fundraising goal of $2,328. Now, to make things a bit more interesting for you – in case you find the Bay2Breakers “uninteresting” - if you happen to make the largest donation, you’ll also get to choose what I wear at the race (within reason, but we can discuss the details later). That’s right, not only are you contributing to a great cause and helping out the good folks of the Mehebe Refugee Settlement, you’ll also get a chance to put me in the outfit/costume of your choice, a great opportunity for those of you who have, regrettably, been the object of my jokes, pranks, sarcasm, and are lookin’ for a little payback. So bust out your checkbook, make a generous donation, and get creative!
