Partners of the Americas is a non-profit international grassroots network that creates opportunities for individuals, institutions, and communities to discover how they can change our world through service, leadership, and by building relationships across the Americas.
The Sustainable Network Training Program will support the work of our Chapters by training the next generation of leaders, or Network Innovators, who will be the direct beneficiaries of the training. Through the training, the Network Innovators will ultimately impact hundreds of individuals living in their local communities as well as their Chapter’s partner communities in Latin America.
Each Network Innovator represents a Chapter, creating lasting change in the Americas. From literacy projects in Nicaragua and emergency preparedness training in Chile, to women shelters in Uruguay and inner city music programs in Rochester, Chapter projects will benefit from this groundbreaking training program.
As our Chapters look to expand their work and provide opportunities to more individuals to become involved, they also seek ways to ensure their work will be sustained and continue to have an impact for years to come.
Partners and Citizen Effect have engaged Innovation Mentors from across the Partners’ network to provide participants with a unique training opportunity. This training will equip participants with the skills needed to effectively organize fundraising events, engage their networks and establish strategies to support their Chapter programs and activities.
Library project Vila Nova Brazil Meeting November 2011
Five of us met. Dr. Cook shared with us about his organization and we explained a little about Partners of the Americas and about what we would like to do. He said he and his organization would like to collaborate with us on this project. We will make plans for 2013.

Help the MO-Partners, ADRIM, BTCV and the villagers build a 4 room school house in the village of Zignasso, Mali where I served as Peace Corps volunteer 1992-1994. Their school is crumbling. The girls and boys are hungry to learn. Please check back for more updates. The goal is to build this school in 2012. Things are in motion. Please help if you can.

About Me: Dear Friends, I am a volunteer at heart. For me I use the words work and volunteer interchangeably. I am a Partners of the Americas volunteer, POA Fellow, a returned Peace Corps volunteer from Mali, West Africa, I am a Rotary Club member, Be The Change Volunteer and a Preschool Sunday school teacher for approximately 5 years at my church. I also volunteer at my kids schools. I have four sons. I have been working on small community development projects in Mali, West Africa for a period of 19 years. My friend and long time MO Partners member Dr. John Henschke tells me that I am invested in Mali. Currently, we are building a birthing center in the village of Segetembougou, Mali. The project is 80% complete. In March 2011 The Missouri-Para Chapter members asked me to apply for the Network Innovator program and work with our sister chapter in Belem to help raise funds to purchase books for the Mini-Library project in the district of Vila Nova Tome - Acu in the state of Para. The library will serve the children and the local community of approximately 1,600 inhabitants. Each book cost $10. The Para Chapter has requested that I raise $1000 to purchase books. I invite you to participate in this project with me. Let me know if you have questions or ideas on how I can make it better. I would like to encourage you to give and give generously. Thanks in advance for your time and consideration. Sincerely your friend in community development, Jenifer Pilz-Coulibaly
