Preparing for School

Children of Vietnam is very grateful for the efforts of Citizen Effect donor Ed Herold for raising funds for 10 deserving students to receive 4-year scholarships to pay for the costs to attend school.
The first day of school at the Tay Son Secondary School, indeed in the entire region in and around Danang, is September 5th. During this day an opening ceremony is held with all of the youth dressed in their uniforms. The teachers and principal address the students encouraging them to study well.
The prior two weeks students go to the school on appointed days for orientation and to do preparation tasks such as cover their books and clean the classroom.
Currently, Children of Vietnam staff is working with the Tay Son School staff to identify the 10 students to receive the 10 4-year scholarships. They will be very happy to learn of this gift from a citizen of the United States! Once selected, COV information about these students and photos will be provided. Thank you Mr. Herold!
