PROJECT SUMMARY
San Luis district is located in Peru's Cañete Province, a region that is still recovering from a 2007 earthquake that destroyed its infrastructure and left most of its residents homeless and impoverished. Despite the area's potential for development, little has been done improve conditions in the district. This has left the San Luis's single mothers and children with few options and little hope. In response, Coprodeli has constructed and begun to operate the San Luis Education Center. It is intended to provide the district's children with a safe and comfortable learning environment where they can reach their full potential. This project will equip five recently constructed classrooms in the San Luis Education Center so that 160 additional pre-primary and primary level students can attend the school.
