Congratulations on the funds you have raised Katiya village. These funds have been transferred to SEWA, and combined with some extra funds from another project. This will allow 5 rainwater harvesting systems to be constructed in Katiya, providing the villagers with a source of clean drinking water on their doorstep.

$171 Raised at Sing for Clean Water!

Congrats to Jessica & her friends for raising $171 at the Sing for Clean Water event in Washington, DC!

More than 15 donors attended the event and donated between $2–$40 to help provide Katiya Village in Gujarat, India, with a Roof Rainwater Harvesting System so they can have a sustainable source of clean drinking water. Keep up the great work!

Got Water?

What if even a simple glass of water meant walking four miles to a water source; a source contaminated by human and animal waste due to the lack of sewer and sanitation facilities in your community? For the people of the Katiya village in Gujarat, India this awful scenario is a reality. Residents are reliant on these types of open air sources until they dry up during the region's long droughts; at which point they are forced wait for the unreliable government water trucks.

Thanks to the efforts of the Self-Employed Women's Association (SEWA) 100% of our donations can go to building a rain water collection system that will bring life sustaining water to the 400 people of this village year-round. Please donate, and make their dreams of clean water a reality.
