MEET THE CP
About Me: I am a former Partners of the Americas staff member now living in Brazil, and I am participating in the Sustainable Network Training Program. I am raising funds to support the Dennis R. Shaw Memorial Scholarship Fund. The Shaw Memorial Scholarship was created to assist young people of limited financial means who are Youth Ambassador alumni or Partners chapter members and are pursuing higher education at any university in the Americas. Eight awards have been given already in the past year! I think this scholarship is the perfect way to honor Dennis Shaw, who I loved beyond words, while carrying his legacy to the future in the figure of the brilliant young friends I made while working with the YA program. PROJECT SUMMARY
Partners of the Americas is a non-profit international grassroots network that creates opportunities for individuals, institutions, and communities to discover how they can change our world through service, leadership, and by building relationships across the Americas. The Sustainable Network Training Program will support the work of our Chapters by training the next generation of leaders, or Network Innovators, who will be the direct beneficiaries of the training. Through the training, the Network Innovators will ultimately impact hundreds of individuals living in their local communities as well as their Chapter’s partner communities in Latin America.
