PROJECT SUMMARY

Kankavati village is an agricultural and cattle raising community in Gujarat, India. There are no toilets in Kankavati and the villagers are forced to walk long distances to use a toilet. This project will fund the construction of 20 indoor sanitation units throughout Kankavati, thereby providing village households with access to proper indoor sanitation facilities. Local engineers will construct separate facilities for men and women, each with private toilets and soak pit (sustainable, rural sewage treatment) units. Become the Citizen Philanthropist for this project, and partner with Kankavati to provide toilet facilities that will help improve the health, sanitation, and livelihood of the villagers.
