MEET THE CP
PROJECT SUMMARY
Families in the rural hamlet of Xuan An are unable to meet their children’s needs. Most are farmers, and the time-consuming and arduous labor their fields require leave parents struggling to find a means of caring for their children during work hours. These hardworking families also recognize education is key to ensuring their children lead better lives. As a result, they have established a temporary kindergarten in a government meetinghouse to address their children's needs. However, this facility is in serious disrepair and lacks the equipment and space to accommodate all of the village's children. Many families have resorted to sacrificing the income that could be earned by a parent or the education of an older sibling so that their young children are safe during the day. This project will fund the construction of a kindergarten facility that will ensure 40 young children have access to a safe and comfortable space where they can learn, grow, and achieve. In the new kindergarten, children will be able to attend classes all day during which they will develop communication skills, learn their colors, letters, and numbers, and enjoy drawing, singing, and playing. Become a Citizen Philanthropist and partner with the families of Xuan An so that all of the village's young children can begin their academic careers with the resources that will improve their futures and allow their parents to earn the income that will change their lives.
