- NEW BREATHING TANKS FOR FIREFIGHTERS
  
  Description - Mario Aranibar crafted these tanks based on a donated one from NC
- CENTRO FOCOLAR - SERVING SOUP
  
  Description - A midday meal is prepared by mothers in a poor community of Cochabamba for children of school age. Mothers donate time here, and they and their children receive a nourishing meal.
- CENTRO FOCOLAR - LUNCH TIME
  
  Description - Children have the good soup that volunteer mothers have prepared.
- CENTRO FOCOLAR - A PLACE AFTER SCHOOL
  
  Description - Children can come here to have a place for doing homework, with help from volunteer teachers, if needed.
- EDUARDO & SALLIE AT CEOLI
  
  Description - CEOLI is a center for rehabilitation of persons with impairments. Founded and directed by Eduardo Villaroel, long-time Partners member, CEOLI offers schooling, physical therapy and occupational training.
- NEW SANITARY FACILITIES FOR A RURAL SCHOOL
  
  Description - NC-Cbba Partners has connected on several occasions with Rotary Clubs. At this rural school, sanitary facilities are being constructed.
- LITTLE PEOPLE LEARN TO BRUSH
  
  Description - Toothbrushes donated from NC were given to children at the Warmi Center, a day-care associated with a soap factory founded by Cbba Partners member Elena Jimenez.
- JEWELRY-MAKING AT CEOLI
  
  Description - A young man skillfully crafts a silver ring at CEOLI, a center for people with impairments

About Me: After college I took a job teaching science and math at a small school in Cochabamba, Bolivia. I got to know and love the Bolivian people. When I learned of Partners of the Americas, and found that North Carolina was partnered with Cochabamba, I was delighted to have this new connection. Projects in which I have been involved in Cochabamba, Bolivia: • computers to a school for the deaf; • hearing tests for students and adults with hearing impairments; • supplying of hearing aids; • building improvement at an orphanage, and supplies for children; • physical therapy program at a rehabilitation center; • sale of cards painted by handicapped persons; • raising funds for the purchase of an ambulance for the Search & Rescue volunteers (SAR); • EMS trainers from NC giving a trauma response workshop to SAR;

Partners of the Americas is a non-profit, non-partisan international grassroots network. We connect volunteer, institutions and communities to serve and to change lives. A network engaging 10,000 volunteers through over 100 chapters each year, Partners is unique in the Americas. We are women, men, youth leaders, teachers, parents, doctors, business owners, students, retirees, carpenters, farmers, Republicans, and Democrats all committed to a more peaceful and prosperous hemisphere. Through the leadership of our own volunteers, we are embarking on an exciting campaign to raise $150,000 by March 31, 2011. This campaign will help us continue to support the Partners network and empower our chapters and volunteers to help turn their ideas for a more sustainable and prosperous Western Hemisphere into a reality.
