About Me: I am a yoga teacher and executive coach based in Washington, DC. I have been a Citizen Philanthropist since Citizen Effect was founded and think its just one example of what makes this world city and its people so great! Join us for this community Yoga Challenge and help us make a significant impact with Becky's Fund!
PROJECT SUMMARY
The Dungra community relies on its village well as the main source of portable water. Recent droughts have made water scarce in the area and forced women to spend 5 hours traveling to the village's outskirts to collect enough water for their family's daily use. This project will construct 2 hand pump wells in the village to ensure the Dungra families have reliable access to convenient, clean drinking water. Each hand pump will serve 20 families and significantly reduce the time needed to collect village water.
